mastro ilayaraja turns into producer

For the first time in a career spanning more than three decades, during which he composed for 902 flicks in all languages, maestro Ilayaraja has chosen to present a film and even bought its marketing rights. Isaignani, who is well aware of the problems producers face nowadays, has a good reason for choosing to market a film. He strongly believes that today’s films don’t depend on stars for a good run, but are successful mainly because of the script and the performers.

The movie Sengatthu Bhoomiyile is no different. Directed by Ratnakumar, who has given inspiring scripts like Kizhakku Cheemayile, Karutthamma, Kadal Pookkal in the past, reportedly the alluring story of Sengatthu… has fascinated the maestro, say sources.
